On Friday, Holly & I packed our winter gear in the car and headed up to Boulder for some hiking around the Flatirons. It was a gorgeous day in Denver, but in Boulder it was a snowing and there was dense cloud cover. We parked the Subi, and headed down the Chautauqua Reservoir Road, and then onto trails of the Boulder Mountain Park.

Holly took almost all the pictures you see here-and most of the good pictures on our trip out to Denver. She really has an eye for art!

We passed a few people along our hike, but other than that it was quiet. The snow blanket around us was soft and fluffy. We passed a ranger, who chatted with Holly briefly. We hiked for about 2 hours, and then headed back to the car.

We were to meet up with Holly’s friend Larry at an El Salvador restaurant called Pupusas Sabor Hispano. I’m happy Holly & I got there a little early. It was also quite helpful that a nice man gave up his large table (switching to a smaller 2 person table) so that we three could sit and eat. I was ravenously hungry, and I ordered tortilla soup and ate like 3 bowls of chips on top! Great food affordable price, comes fast & fresh, I highly recommend the joint!
