Time for a rest day. We wake up early and walk down to the Douro river docks to our cruiser. We scheduled an all inclusive tour; river boat cruise, tour a winery in the Douro valley, then take the train back. We were excited for a nice relaxing day and to taste the wines of this famous region!
At a Winery. Their wine actually wasn’t all that great, so I purposely didn’t take the name. The tour was nice though.
After Trying to Lift an Empty Barrel! They weigh 40 kilos!
The train ride back to Porto kinda sucked. The train was dirty and the heater was spewing out smoke, so it was a horrible ride back. Rather than taking the train, I would recommend staying in the Douro River valley at any one of the nice B&Bs and then taking the cruise or a private ride back rather than taking that train.
We got back to our hotel a little late that evening and prepared for our journey back to Lisbon.
