Crystal and I hiked a very large loop up to the top of North Table Mountain and back. We hiked for about 5 hours.

The day started out a nice mild temperature, but about halfway through our hike, it got HOT! We had a nice time, even though almost all the wildflowers were gone.

At the end of the hike, I walked within feet of a young buck. Crystal whispered, “Clare look to your right. No, your other right!”. I turned around just in time to get this picture…! Cool!

North Table Mountain has some challenging elevation gains, pretty urban views, and a sweet view of the foothills (including the Flatirons-to the North). It doesn’t cost anything to park for the hike and there are plenty of people, so you’re never alone, if you like social hikes!
