Dennis & I watched this amuzing tale with smiles and laughs. Jim Carrey’s performance as the dreaded Count is pretty typical for him. I guess I still find his antics captivating, movie upon movie. The jewel of the movie is the animation, artistic renditions, and narration. It was great fun to see the story unravell and the musical score was mysterious/flirtatious at times.
The movie is about three kids who are orphaned due to a fire. The fire that kills their parents is a mystery, as is the circumstances in which they are left. The parents have arranged for them to live with various people (none of which they are really related). The kids have various talents, and my favorite kid is the sarcastic but whitty 2 year old…who’s main talent is biting! Anyways, what happens to them after the death of their parents is a “series of unfortunate events” which the viewer will find entertaining!
