On Thanksgiving, I went climbing with my friends Rachel and David Burns (been way too long since I’ve seen that guy!). It was a little chilly, so we went to the Pantywall. The routes there are all quite fun, and it’s a popular place, so I was mentally prepared to wait in line. My goal was two part – first to have fun climbing and second to enjoy being with my pals.
We climbed Brief Encounter, Sacred Undergarment Squeeze Job, Boxer Rebellion, and the Last Panty. I think I may have done Brief Encounter twice actually-but they are all fun climbs. David had to take off to meet his family for Turkey day, and Rachel & I decided we had enough of the crowds.
All in all, I had a blast out there-hadn’t seen David since before I was married, and the guy is still the fun, energetic dude I remembered. I hope he will come up to Shelf road (as he said), so we can climb again before waiting another 5 years!
