Dennis & I hiked up the Ypsilon Lake Trail, starting from Lawn Lake Trailhead, RMNP. It is a moderate hike, up a ridge to a pretty alpine lake. The hike is ~9 miles round trip (to Ypsilon Lake) with 2,378′ of gain. The highest altitude achieved is 10,772′.

I really enjoyed this hike. It crosses the Roaring River, via a nice footbridge and the views of the Fall River, Endovalley, Horseshoe Park, and the northside of Sundance Mountain on the way down are very pretty.
We did the hike in about 3.5 hours, Dennis headed back a little before Ypsilon Lake (at Chipmunk Lake)-so he was waiting for me at the car.
There were very little people-except a few intrepid fishermen and the occasional hiker. I probably saw 10 people the whole hike. The crux of the day was finding parking, but we scored because a pair of hikers were just leaving when we arrived. Showing up late in the day was (for once) a blessing.
