Aga, Chris, Kat, Dennis, and I went snowshoe hiking along the Two Elk Trail out of Minturn, CO. We started hiking around noon and finished at 4pm. It was a slightly gray wintery day with wind gusts towards late afternoon.
The winter parking spot is a little over an hours hike from the trail head proper, so be prepared.

We had a snack and then turned around at 2:30pm. It was a fantastic day of snowshoe hiking. We all took turns leading the way. The Two Elk trail is beautiful as it meanders it’s way along a rushing creek. The snow covered trees add a bit of shelter for those brisk winter winds. We’ll definitely be back here come summer!
