NYC to Casablanca

Clare & Jon Happy to Fly to Casablanca

Friday morning was another early morning, we were all up at 5:30am. Air Maroc told us to be ready for shuttles to take us back to the airport at 6am…We shuffled down to the lobby still half asleep. The crowds of Marocs had beaten us down there. While we waited; Barry was super gracious and brought me a coffee. Boy, did I need that caffeine!

NYC Fog

Back at JFK, we got boarding tickets, and waited another 2-3 hours at the terminal. I believe our flight ended up leaving around 9am…Jon & Barry were both stretching and trying to stay active before the flight, but I just wanted to go back to sleep. (more…)

Morocco Via New York

On Thursday, October 2nd, I got up at 6:30am. Not to go climbing, or go to work, or to clean up cat puke…I was on my way to the land of spices, the Sahara, and one of the best sport climbing crags in the world. The Todra Gorge is several hundred meters high limestone peppered with bolts!

Leaving Denver for Morocco

As a way to celebrate our significant birthdays (mine 30th and Barry’s 50th), we decided on a trip to the exotic and overwhelming jewel of Africa. I was thrilled to the core to be going there, and also relieved that my intrepid brother, Jon, agreed to tag along…as having family along is always a good idea in 3rd world countries! (more…)
