On Friday, the day after our blizzard, I jumped in the Honda and drove up to Jen’s House. We agreed to meet around noon, and go for a nice leisurely snowshoe hike. (more…)

Rock Climbing – Flatirons – Satellite Boulders
Sunday, March 22nd, 2009On Sunday morning, I met Eckhard at his casa. We drove to David Garcia’s Momentum studio, and met up with David, Nicole, and Julie. With crashpads in hand, we drove up to Chautauqua Park on the outskirts of Boulder. It was a gorgeous day, so there were teems of people, dogs, and automobiles. (more…)
Rock Climbing – Boulder Canyon
Sunday, March 15th, 2009On Sunday, after a full day climbing at Shelf, I yanked myself out of bed and drove up to Boulder Canyon. I met Stan at the huge pullout, and we drove up to Boulder Falls. It was a return trip to Plotinus Wall.
The day started out warm & sunny. By the time we reached the crag, a chilly wind stirred. The sun danced in and out of clouds all day, as we went through wild hot and cold temperature fluxuations. I felt like we were in a lab, being put through quality testing…We were caught most off guard! (more…)
Rock Climbing – Shelf Road

On Pie Day (March 14=3.14 Ha-ha), Stan rounded up the posse for a day trip to Shelf Road. Initially, we were all supposed to camp there, but reports of potentially bad weather turned it into a day trip. As luck would have it, the weather was absolutely perfect!
Posse: Brooke & Jason, Jen, Stan & doggies (Kona & Misha), and myself.
Weather: Just wonderful, high felt around 70 with a cool breeze
Crag: Cactus Cliffs
