Running – National Harbor,MD to Alexandria,VA

On Tuesday, after the conference, I met with Don W. to go for a run over to Alexandria, VA. We ran from 5:45pm to around 7:15pm, for a distance of about 8 miles.

Wonderful run, up to Woodrow Wilson Bridge, then across to Alexandria. When we got across the Potomac, we headed south on the Mt. Vernon Trail, and turned around at the rest room building. The damp & humid air made it feel even colder than reality, but once we got off the bridge, we felt much warmer…

Run Home From Work

My Run Home From Work

On December 28, I decided to run home from work. It’s about 7.3 miles, the route I took. For several miles over the course of this run, I went through not so nice areas. It was a little sketchy since the sun was setting and the sidewalks were quite icy. I believe I ran faster than I normally would, because I made it home in 57 minutes, which is a very fast pace (for me)!

Federal Cup 5K

Clare Thrilled at First Place Finish

On Saturday, I joined my fellow co-workers at the 26th running of the Federal Cup. At my workplace, the Fed Cup is a very coveted prize. Folks train for it and generally get amped up every spring. I was asked to be part of the co-ed team, and again, I had to say yes!
