This weekend, Dennis & I headed back to Las Vegas to join some of our old buddies at the Lucky 7 Ultimate Tournament. They needed some more players to round out the team. Disco Elvis in the past has been great to play with so we said, “Sign us up!”. (more…)
On Wednesday, I took a much needed break and went out to climb. Since I would be going on travel for work, I needed to go out and touch some rock. Tom R. joined me for a jaunt up to Alabama Hills. The scheduled high was 64 degrees, so we were looking for sun.
I do not know the names of all the routes we climbed, but we managed to find sun at the Tall Wall, the Alabama Dome, and The Candy Store. We did 8 moderate climbs in all, and had a great day, even though it was chilly in the morning and when we were in the shade. I do not have pictures since it was just the two of us 8^) All in all a great day.
After climbing, I decided to go out and play some Ultimate. It was a lot colder after the sun went down! But, I had a lot of fun running around and playing some tenacious Defense. With very little wind, and a speedy group, it was a great night of disc. And, good practice for Lucky 7s, a tournament I got roped into in Vegas.
