Canmore, Main Street
Wednesday was the busiest day of our vacation.

We started off doing a little shopping in Canmore. We stopped at Tin Box; a boutique shop, and also the Canadian equivalent of the dollar store. There was a third store, but I forget the name. It was in half of a person’s house, and contained a bunch of nic nacs with an old west theme.

Then we had lunch at The Grizzly Paw Brewing Company. My favorite part of lunch was the root beer. They make their own from scratch and it is by far the best root beer I’ve tasted! (more…)

Sunday, July 5th, 2009

For the first time since moving to CO, my Mom & sister, Meera, came to visit. I was so excited to be seeing them, and having such a fun weekend! I had a lot planned and didn’t know how it all was going to go…My Mom is very ill, so we have to take things day by day.

We started out the weekend with a trip to the ballgame. How could we be more patriotic? It was a complete surprise, as they had never been to a Major League game.

A ball once whizzed overhead, missing us by about 10 feet. I was happy nobody got hurt, it was probably going about 80mph…The Rockies were playing well, would it be a shut-out?

My favs (other than the live performances) were the landscape photography, fresh fudge, elephant ears, and the Classic Cars. (more…)

Dyno Delicately Suspended

On Friday, Dennis & I drove 4 hours up to Casper, WY. We would be attending NIC Fest, in order to be a part of my brother, Dyno The Aerialist‘s performances. He was performing as a guest with the Cabiri Troupe, a talented group from Seattle.

Dyno's Pliant Nature

Dennis & I had never seen my brother perform, so we were very excited. I was also curious to meet the rest of the troupe, as I had heard a bit about his training and new lifestyle since doing aerials. (more…)
