Rock Climbing – Elevenmile Canyon (Day 2)

Saturday, August 15th, 2009I saw a post online from Dan, he needed a partner for a weekend romp up the Third Flatiron. I was quite excited to join him, as I had a ton of fun doing the First one two weeks prior. My painful & lingering back/rib injury was not going away, so the gentle slope of the Flatiron was just what the doctor ordered!
Cliffnotes of the Day:
I woke up really early. Met Dan. We arrived at crag, we were third in line. We saw 5 other climbers while we were climbing. We took pictures and climbed quick, just barely getting caught in an afternoon thunder storm. We went out for quesadillas at Morning Sun post climbing.
What a FUN day!

Before setting out, we stopped in Canmore at the Rock Shop, Vertical Addiction where we gleaned beta from a super nice dude, Ben. If you climb in the Canmore area, I would highly recommend this shop, the guy there was a great source of information, and ultra friendly!!! (more…)
